Construction began on or about 04/01/1923. It operated as the "Beacon Theatre" before 11/1938. The new owner--H.E. Brookings--bought the venue from the McDonald Brothers (who later would begin the famous hamburger drive-in) and altered its name to the "Glendora." Ownership changed hands frequently between 1938-1967.

This theatre seated approximately 750 patrons. At the beginning of the design process, architect Cyril Bennett envisioned it to hold 600.

Demolished in 1968; a supermarket was built in its place.
