Latimer worked as the Manager of the Dexter Horton Bank for some years, before becoming its President and a Director. He married Margaret Moore Latimer in 1890 and they raised three children in the house on the southwest corner of Terry Avenue and Marion Street.

The Latimer had a transitional aesthetic; its complex massing suggested 19th-century, Queen Anne Style precedents, while its notable use of Colonial Revival Style decorative elements suggested its modernity. The house dated before 1907, when a family photo in a motorcar was shot in front of it.

Demolished.
