Building History

The San Francisco architectural firm of Clark and Beuttler designed this model house for Roger Kent (1906-1980), scion of the prominent Kent family with large real estate holdings in Marin County, CA. Kent was the son of William Kent, a three-term Congressman from Marin County, and a prominent and sensitive developer of Marin County real estate, including the Kentwoodlands Tract. Roger was a Yale-educated lawyer and became a stalwart of the Democratic Party in this region of CA.
