Building History

While Allison and Allison were credited as architects of Kerckhoff Hall, George Kelham was credited as the "supervising architect." Kerckhoff Hall opened in 01/1931.

William Kerckhoff and George W. Kelham may have first met at a luncheon held in 1909, when both attended a banquet held by . CA Governor James N. Gillett to honor Secretary of the Navy Metcalf and other US Naval commanders on 05/07/1908. (See "Governor Gillett's Banquet to Secretary of the Navy Metcalf Attended by Many Officials," San Francisco Call, vol. CIII, no. 160, 05/08/1908.)

Alteration

The Los Angeles firm of Widom Wein Cohen, Architects, supervised the seismic upgrading of Kerckhoff Hall in the early 1990s.
