The Los Angeles Times stated that architect Norman Foote Marsh (1871-1955) was working on designs for the 1st Methodist Church of Covina, CA, in late 1909. It wrote: "N.F. Marsh has completed plans for the main auditorium for the Covina Methodist church and the contract has been let to John Rebman of this city. The completed church, which is frame with stone veneer, will cost $20,000." (See "The Architects," Los Angeles Times, 11/14/1909, pt. V, p. 21.)
