Donald B. Parkinson designed the first Spanish Colonial outlet in Westwood Village for the Bullock's chain. This was replaced in 1950 by a more capacious design by Welton D. Becket and Associates. Becket would go on to design several more Bullock's outlets in the 1950s-1960s.

Additions and alterations were made several times to this department store; a major, two-story addition was designed by Donald Parkinson in 1939.
