1830 North Dillon Street
Silver Lake, Los Angeles, CA

Overview

This minimal, 500-square-foot residence was located on a hilltop in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. Unlike much later work by Raphael Soriano, this small, low-cost cottage had a wooden-frame, not a steel one. It was located across the street from Soriano's Lipetz House, erected one year earlier.

Demolition

The Priver House #1 was razed to make room for a larger house for Edwin Loeb, designed by Sumner Spaulding (1892-1952). Richard Neutra designed alterations to the Loeb House.
