Building History

San Francisco architect Charles M. Rousseau designed this three-floor apartment house on a 32-foot lot on Minna Street, between 7th and 8th Streets. This building contained six flats, each with five rooms apiece. Eugene Paulme.(d. 11/30/1934 in San Francsico, CA), a tailor and vestmaker, owned the building. In 1900, he resided at 1612 Leavenworth Street and had his shop at 339 Kearny Street in San Francisco. (See Crocker-LangleySan Francisco, California, City Directory, 1900, p. 1365). According to the California Death Index, Paulme died at age 77.
