Overview

The East Bay architect Frederick Confer designed this residence for the author Eugene O'Neill and his wife, the actress Carlotta Monterey, in the mid-1930s. The couple lived here for seven years, between 1937 and 1944.

Building Notes

In 2018, the two-story, Monterey Colonial residence occupied a portion of a 158.6-acre site.
