Overview

The Southern Trust and Savings Bank operated its main office in the US Grant Hotel, on the northwest corner of 4th Avenue and Broadway in 1909. The bank also maintained a branch in La Jolla at this time. (SeeSan Diego, California, City Directory, 1909, p. 634.)In 1909, the bank had capital of $250,000. Its officers included G.A. Davidson, President, Philip Morse, Vice-President, and E.O. Hodge, Cashier.
