Building Notes

The Oregon Chapter of the American Institute of Architects bestowed an Award of Merit on the Metzger United Methodist Church in 03/1961. It was one of three awards made in this design awards program, the other two being for the Equitable Savings and Loan Association in Newport, OR, and the Keller House by Donald S. Blair. The three-person panel judging the event included Bruce Morris Walker (1923-2005), architect from Spokane, the architectural historian Marion Dean Ross(1913-1991) of Eugene, OR, and architect Norman Zimmer of Portland, OR.
