Building Notes

In 1896, the Young Women's Christian Temperance Union met in the Temperance Temple, located on northwest corner of Temple Street and North Broadway. Officer of the YWCTU included Miss N. Painter, president, and Miss A. Herman, treasurer. (See Maxwell's Los Angeles, California, City Directory, 1896, p. 1461.)
