Overview

This grand residence was built by Frank Carlos Bolt (born 10/20/1846 in Knowlesville, NY-d. 08/10/1928 in Pasadena, CA), President of the San Gabriel Bank. In 1913, he was also on the Board of Directors of the the Citizen's National Bank, Los Angeles, Union Oil Company, Los Angeles, and the Arrowhead Realty Company, Los Angeles,and belonged to the Annandale Country Club, Pasadena, and the California Club of Los Angeles.

Bolt first married Ellen Anna Howe (b. 11/1843 in NY-d. 03/25/1902 in Pasadena,CA). They had two daughters.

He resided here in 1910 with his second wife, Clara Maude O'Brien (born 08/20/1876 in Noel, NS, Canada-d. 02/07/1966 in Pasadena, CA), daughter, Marjorie Bolt Lacey (born 01/21/1886 in Buffalo, NY-d. 02/07/1972 in Pasadena, CA), and sister-in-law, Blanche B. Hugus (born c. 1873 in NY).
