Overview

This was the second Baltimore Hotel, opening in 1910. The first was located at 7th and Olive Streets, and operated between 1896 and 1907.

Building History

Designed by the architect Arthur Rolland Kelly (1878-1959), the New Baltimore Hotel was constructed in 1909-1910 and opened on 09/27/1910. It had a reinforced concrete frame, rendering it less prone to fires and more resistant to periodic earthquakes.

The hotel was sold a year after it opened on 05/1911.
