Overview

Nina Parkinson (born c. 1852 in NY), active in the Woman's Club of Palo Alto and the second wife of West Virginia-born Dr. Benoni Parkinson (1836-1899), a prominent banker at the Bank of Palo Alto, resided at this address in the early years of the 20th century. Nina Parkinson was active in Bay Area society; her name appeared in the San Francisco Blue Books of 1904 (p. 279) and 1905 (p. 264), and was listed in the Club Women of California: Official Directory and Register of 1907 (p. 57). She lived here until about 1907; she was listed in the US Census of 1910 as living at 2029 West 28th Street in Los Angeles, CA, with three of her four surviving children.
