Building History

Architect George Bolotin (1914-1980) designed the Panorama House Apartments, constructed in 1961-1962. Bolotin developed a specialty designing apartment houses of all sizes during the 1950s and 1960s. He did work outside of Puget Sound, as well, being a Registered Architect in the States of AK, AZ, WA and OR.

On 09/05/2014, Security Properties and the building management company Madrona Ridge Residential purchased the Panorama House Apartments from Panorama House LLC, for $73,982,000.00. Following this purchase, the new landlords, under the corporate name Panorama House Venture LLC, announced plans to renovate the entire facility and evict all tenants, some of whom were elderly and had resided in the building for 20 years, within 8-9 months.

Building Notes

This 18-story building had a 46,080-square-foot (1.06-acre) lot. It contained 305,389 gross square feet, 172,000 net. According to King County Assessor records in 2016, the building contained 33 3-bedroom, 1.5-bath units, 52 2-bedroom, 1-bath units, 30 1-bedroom, 1-bath units and 64 2-bedroom, 2-bath units. Building and land had a taxable value of 70,000,000 in 2016.

Alteration

The Panorama House had major alterations done in 1992 and a complete renovation in 2014-2015.
