Overview

English-born architect Ernest Coxhead designed this residence that backed up onto the wooded Presidio grounds for the artist Bruce Porter (1865-1953). The house comprised one of a group of architecturally-important, shingled townhouses on Pacific Avenue between Presidio Boulevard and Walnut Street.
