This Modern furniture store, designed by Bennett and Johnson, Architects, replaced the McKenny/Kneeland Building, which was damaged in the Earthquake of 04/13/1949 and subsequently razed. A two-story, rectangular, building, it had a reinforced concrete structural system and concrete exterior cladding.
