In 1886, this small board and batten, one-story market occupied a lot on Front Street (later 1st Avenue) just to the north of Madison Street. A very simple building, it had a gable roof hidden behind a false front. A porch projected out front, covering shoppers.

Demolished; it burned in the Great Fire of 06/06/1889.
