Seattle architect Arne Bystrom, who would produce houses later in his career with complex wood framing systems, designed this one-story, post-and-beam-framed house at 3811 56th Ave SW, Seattle, WA. The 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath dwelling had 2,960 square feet and was set on a lot of 7,525 square feet. With its shallowly-pitched gable roof, carport, open living areas and glazed walls, the house resembled, on a larger scale, those being designed by architects Jones and Emmons for Eichler Homes in Palo Alto, CA, c. 1954.
