Overview

Wood's Hall was used as a multi-purpose assembly and meeting space during the early 20th century, and was something of a community center for the town of Highland Park, The facility was in operation c. 1906, when the local Ebell Club used it for its first meetings. A note in the Highland Park Herald stated in 1906: "C.C. Reed...has leased Wood's Hall and will be prepared to furnish same for entertainments, club and lodge meetings." (See Wood's Hall, Highland Park Herald, 03/17/1906, p.2.) Britta M.G. Stott taught physical culture and elocution at Wood's Hall in 08/1906.
