The US Army built its generic Area 400 barracks at Fort Lawton soon after Pearl Harbor to house an influx of soldiers.

Demolished c. 2000. Following their demolition, the Army removed the pavement from the housing area, and landscape architect Charles Anderson re-introduced native plant species in the spots where houses had been.
