Seattle architects Stimson and McDonald designed this lodge building for the Masons c. 1930. Vas Stimson may have been the lead designer on the project. He appeared at the building's dedication. The Architect and Engineer in its 10/1932 issue noted: "Vas Stimson, member of the Seattle architectural firm of Stimson and McDonald, was an honorary guest at the midsummer dedication of the new Masonic Temple at Port Townsend, which his firm designed." (See "Personal," Architect and Engineer, 10/1932, p.68; see online atAccessed 06/28/2011.)
