George M. Rasque, State Architect of WA, announced that a 60 foot by 150 foot warehouse supplying the Walla Walla State Penitentiary, would be erected at a cost of $12,000 in 05/1933. The warehouse was to supply food stuffs for the prison and would be composed of two large rooms, one 30 feet by 60 feet, the other, 60 feet by 120 feet. The brick and concrete building would stand 20 feet high. Work was set to start 07/01/1933. This food storage warehouse was to be built at the same time as a $35,000-40,000 power plant for the prison, also designed by Rasque.
