Trucks brought this prefabricated interim ferry building to the spot of the previous demolished ferry terminal. An existing walkway was re-used for this interim facility and for the permanent ferry terminal finished c. 2005. Architects Van Horne and Van Horne served as sub-consultants for the interim ferry terminal's design and construction.

The Bremerton Ferry Terminal was located at the end of 1st Street, adjacent to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
