Originally known as Broadway North, this became known as Broadway East.

Brewster owned Brewster Cigar Stores, which had multiple outlets in Seattle, WA, c. 1928.

An ad for the Seattle Lighting Company featured a portrait of Brewster and an exterior view of his residence at 2808 Broadway North. It served as a testimonial for all of the benefits of gas service from the Seattle Lighting Company. (See "'Gas heating starts where the others leave off' declares Mr. Brewster," Town Crier, 23:50, 12/15/1928, p.2.)
