Planning for this community meeting facility began in 1956-1957; 640 families in the Normandy Park community paid $100 each to erect this long, one-story building. One wall was composed primarily of glass sheltered by protective eaves. The low-pitched gable roof was supported by prominently exposed rafters. Exterior walls were faced with non-load-bearing brick.
