This building served as the Resident Manager's House for the Port Gamble Pope and Talbot Lumber Mill. It was built for Edwin and Maude Walker Ames; Edwin Ames served as the Resident Manager between 1883-1914.

This tall Queen Anne Style house sat on tall foundations, giving it four floors of space.
