Building Notes

This group consisted of three small houses set in a former orchard. Over the years, one house was demolished, one altered beyond recognition and one remained. The owner of this last house, John Gusto, attempted to enlarge the dwelling, but was prevented to do so by the City of Los Altos, which recognized it to be historic. Gusto then tried to sell the small house without success. He then decided to donate it to the city for use as a meeting and exhibit space.

Alteration

The Gusto House was moved to the Los Altos Civic Center in 11/2005.
