Located at the corner of NW corner of South 13th Street and Broadway, this Sears outlet was 1 of 5 department stores that operated in Downtown Tacoma, WA, during the middle portion of the 20th century. Others included the Bon Marche, Rhodes, Peoples, and J.C. Penney. Sears closed this store in 1981, when it moved its main operations to the Tacoma Mall.

This store was remodeled in 1936 by Silas E. Nelsen.
