Long Beach Airport (LGB)

The architectural tandem of W. Horace Austin (1881-1942) and Kenneth S. Wing (1901-1986) collaborated to design the Long Beach Municipal Airport Main Terminal Building, completed in 1941. The long, two-floor building had the look of a streamlined ship of the day, complete with "deck" and railing on the roof.

Tel: (562) 570-2600 (2008); in 2008, Long Beach Airport ranked as one of the top five busiest general aviation airports in the world, with 365,000 annual air operations.
