Building History

Innkeeper Richard Stewart owned this hotel in 1893. The first Hotel Stewart had been demolished by a fire before c. 1891.

William McClean served as the Plastering Contractor for both the Hotel Stewart in San Bernardino, CA, and the Hotel Green in Pasadena, CA.

Building Notes

In 1893, the San Bernardino National Bank had offices in the then-new Hotel Stewart.

In 1904, the Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland had an office in the Stewart Hotel Block. (See San Bernardino, California, City Directory, 1904, p. 68.)
