Candela Hotels, Incorporated was a new hotel company started in Seattle, WA, by Tom Pigott. This flagship hotel was planned to have fewer than 150 hotel rooms and approximately 90 condominums. An exercise facility, spa and restaurant were also planned for the hotel, developed for a parking lot at the southeast corner of Pike Street and Second Avenue. The site and the hotel were owned at the beginning by Urban Visions, a Seattle real estate investment firm. Tom Kundig, architect of Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen, was the Design Partner for Candela.

This hotel and condominium tower was planned to rise 37 stories. Ground-breaking was scheduled after 06/2008, and completion projected for 2010. This timetable was later revised for construction to begin in late 2009.
