This market, located at 2020 Westlake Avenue, served the burgeoning apartment population of Westlake/South Lake Union in 2007.

In 2008, Whole Foods operated five grocery stores in the the State of Washington--in Bellevue, Redmond, Roosevelt Square (Seattle), Westlake (Seattle) and Vancouver--and had two under construction, one in the Seattle Interbay Neighborhood and the other in West Seattle. This expansion came after the company's costly acquisition of Wild Oats Markets and unprecedentedly high fuel prices, which helped reduce company profits 31% in the third quarter of 2008.
