Like other Pryce + Johnson developments c. 2007, Hjarta was planned to be "green," and aimed for LEED Silver Certification. Ground was broken for the development 12/13/2005.

Hjarta--meaning "heart" in Swedish--had 79 units, contained in a seven-story building, 85 feet tall; it was Ballard's tallest building in 2007.
